The Beliefs of the First Baptist Church
Each religious denomination has a different set of beliefs. While there are certain things that link all denominations, there are also things that separate them. The first Baptist church has a belief system that the parishioners of the church share. While some of those beliefs are similar to other religions, there are other beliefs that set them apart.
One of the main beliefs of this church is in regards to the Bible. They believe the Bible was verbally dictated to men. Those men were spiritually controlled, and they wrote the words of the Bible down verbatim. Therefore, it is believed there are not any mistakes in the Bible.
The church takes the story of Adam and Eve as a literal interpretation. They believe that man was created with the chance to live forever, but due to the sin of the original man, men were sentenced to death. However, they can be saved from eternal death by being saved.
Evolution is something that is not accepted by the church. While some religions have incorporated evolution into creationism, those of the first Baptist church do not believe in evolution at all. They believe that every part of life was created by God.
It is also believed that faith is the only thing that will save someone when they leave the earth. Without faith in Jesus, it is believed they will not be able to go to heaven. Even people who have committed many selfless acts in the world will not go to heaven without faith in Jesus.
The first Baptist church also believes that Jesus will come back to earth for the rapture. They believe that at that time, those who have been saved will go with Jesus up to heaven. At that time, it will be too late for people to get saved.
The first Baptist church believes that everyone can be saved, as long as they open their hearts and minds to Jesus. Through that, they believe people can live an eternal life in heaven.
